Who we are

A small workshop with a long memory.

Westbury Carpentry & Building is a family-run practice — quietly making fine homes finer for over twenty-five years.

Craftsman's hands at work

We began the way most good things do — in a small workshop, with a single bench, a chisel roll, and the belief that the best work is the kind you'd want in your own home.

Today, we're a tight team of skilled carpenters and builders working out of Westbury, Wiltshire. We take on a deliberately small number of projects each year — never more than we can pour proper attention into.

Our clients are homeowners, architects and designers who care about the difference between something that is "finished" and something that is genuinely made well. A drawer that closes with the right weight. A scribed line you can't see but can feel. A piece of joinery still tight in fifty years.

We don't have a sales team. We have a workshop, a phone, and a calendar. When you ring, you speak to the person who will be planning your work.

Our values

Honesty

We quote fairly, we tell you when not to spend, and we never start a job we can't finish properly.

Our values

Craft

Hand-cut joints, traditional methods, and finishes built up over days — not sprayed in an hour.

Our values

Quietness

Tidy sites, respectful crews, and a home left cleaner than we found it.
